Woman airlifted after Mendooran motor vehicle accident

Around 8.00am this morning, Monday 16 June, emergency services were called to the Castlereagh Highway, about 18 kilometres east of Mendooran, after a silver Mazda 3 left the road and hit a tree.


NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and treated a 41-year-old woman before she was airlifted to Dubbo Base Hospital by a Westpac Rescue Helicopter in a stable condition.



The 41-year-old male driver and another passenger, a 12-year-old female – were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for minor injuries and transported by ambulance to Dubbo Hospital.


The woman has since been released from hospital.


Officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
