Benjamin Fox is an active member of the Parkes community. He is a chef, high school teacher, husband and father of three children.
Recently, the decision to run for parliament became an obvious one as Benjamin was personally effected by the extreme overreach of our government and the Department of Education.
After 11 years of teaching, Benjamin’s career came to an abrupt end as he decided not to attest to his vaccination status.
A passionate and well-respected teacher, this turn of events prompted Benjamin to act and in doing so, gives an option to the Parkes electorate when it comes time to vote.
In the upcoming election, Benjamin wishes to give the people of the electorate of Parkes an option other than the major parties.
Benjamin is an enthusiastic and caring person that, like many, has been effected by the overreach of our government.
Benjamin understands the toll the pandemic has taken on the community at large. With the continuation of lockdowns, isolation and coercion, there is no dispute that the mental health of Australians has suffered immensely.
Benjamin would love to be viewed as a voice for people struggling with mental health issues and offering support for their carers. He strongly believes there is an increased need to raise awareness and bridge the gap regarding the care that is currently available for someone suffering a mental health issue.
Along with being an advocate for mental health, Benjamin is a passionate teacher who is committed to providing students with opportunities to truly unleash their passions. Benjamin believes there should be more opportunities for self-directed student learning. Instead of being restricted by what’s “on offer” at the school they attend, students should be presented with opportunities that align with their passions and knowledge set.
Benjamin wants to see an end to vaccine mandates and medical discrimination and a return to bodily autonomy for all. This is across education, the broader community and society as a whole. The IMOP was formed so that the people of Australia would have an option other than the major parties.
