Lachlan Shire roads will benefit from an almost $4 million injection from the federal and NSW governments announced last month.
Lachlan is one of four Local Government Areas set to receive about $32 million to repair and upgrade their roads, which floods damaged in 2022.
The shire will also receive about $830,000 for work on Kiacatoo Road under the Regional Transport Resilience Fund (RTRF)
"We don't get the full amount in advance. We get a partial payment to allow the project to start," Lachlan Shire General Manager Greg Tory said.
"I can't say exactly when the funding will hit the account, but it'll be early next year, I would think."

Unlike under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA), the RTRF allows recipients to build infrastructure better than it was before a natural disaster, which Mr Tory hopes will boost flood resistance.
The council will use the money to seal the road, add new culverts and replace an existing one on Lake Cargelligo Road.
It will also fund overlaying pavement, sealing road and increasing culvert width on the Lachlan Valley Way.
The $830,000 will go towards strengthening pavement, sealing road and increasing a culvert capacity at locations Kiacatoo Road.
"We're always grateful for any funding we receive," Mr Tory said.
Lachlan also received $9 million for disaster road repair in June 2024 under the Tripartite Agreements.
The cost of the RTRF package is shared between the federal and NSW governments.
Minister for Regional Transport and Roads, Jenny Aitchison, said every $1 spent on "betterment" will save $10 in recovery.
“The Regional Transport Resilience Fund is not just about repairing like for like. It will ensure vital infrastructure like bridges and roads are built back better able to withstand future disasters,” she said.
“The projects we are investing in will help local communities continue to rebuild their lives and livelihoods following the devastating floods and well into the future.
