The Bourke Warriors will face longtime rivals Brewarrina after the Golden Googars headed off Walgett to book a spot in the mens Barwon Darling Rugby League grand final.
Brewarrina defeated the Walgett Dragons on their own turf on Saturday 27 July, leading 36-12 by the final whistle.
Warriors president George Orcher said he had been expecting to face Walgett, although he's not counting out a tough fight tomorrow.
"It's a fierce rivalry, but we're looking forward to the challenge," he said.
"They've done well after they got their act together towards the end of the year.
"Should be a good match."
The Bourke mens side haven't won the tournament for six years.
He promised a strong crowd of supporters in Walgett tomorrow.
Both teams are hungry for the mens title after a more than five year drought.
The Warriors last won it in 2018, losing in the grand final last year to a joint Goodooga-Lightning Ridge side, while Brewarrina haven't held the title since 2017.
Googars president Sharon Fox said the Bre-Bourke rivalry has stretched at least to when she was in school in the 1980s.
"We're expecting a few supporters too, so it should be a good day," she said.
"We're just so excited."
Brewarrina also have the under 15s girls playing in the finals against Lightning Ridge Redbacks.
