You may recognise Condobolin farmer Dustin from around town, but if you wanted to get to know him better, popular country dating series Farmer Wants A Wife is the place to look. 

The 26-year-old third generation farmer is one of five farmers to take to the screens this year in a bid to find love. 

“I would say I can sometimes be a little quiet and shy at first, but once I am comfortable around you, you won’t be able to keep me quiet! I am fun, happy, love a laugh and to take the mickey,” Dustin said.

On his mixed farm of cattle, sheep, goats and cropping, Dustin said he’s serious about his work, and ambitious in seeing the farm grow and succeed. 

“I want a girl who wants to come out here and make a go of it, wants to have a crack…and have fun.”

Love, however, is the most important thing to him. 

“I have great examples of successful loving relationships to look up to in my parents and grandparents. Ultimately, I would love that for myself.”

“I think having a partner is sort of the pinnacle of life,” he said. 

Dustin describes himself as easy to get along with and a positive person, always keeping morale high. 

“I love fishing, cricket, farming, my dogs – Flick & Sam - food and cooking. I enjoy anything outdoors, spending time with my mates and travelling. I really love trying new things.”

“I don’t claim to be the ultimate romantic, but I have sent flowers for no reason at all and that seemed to get a pretty good reaction.”

In five year’s time, the young farmer can see himself married with kids, or one on the way. 

“I do want to build a solid foundation with someone first, but I love the idea of being a young(ish) father and being able to keep up with my kids.”

To the women on their way to meet him, Dustin said he is more than ready to meet his future wife. 

“I’m so excited to meet you and I hope that you’re just a genuine, lovely woman who is ready to get to know me and hopefully fall in love.”
