Lightning Ridge to feature in national television broadcastThe Artesian Bore Baths in Lightning Ridge are one of two local attractions which will be part of Saturday morning's live weather broadcast of Weekend Sunrise.

The community of Lightning Ridge is set to be broadcast live on national television as part of the Weekend Sunrise television program this weekend.


Sunrise Weatherman James Tobin and his crew will be in Lightning Ridge on the morning of Saturday 7 May to promote all the various attractions and activities the destination has to offer.



The Lightning Ridge Tourism Team has put an open invite out to all members of the local community to be part of the live broadcasts.


The first live cross will be at Bevan's Black Opal & Cactus Nursery at 7am, followed by a second cross at 9am at the Lightning Ridge Artesian Bore Baths.

"Everyone is welcome, come along for a great morning and help JT and the Sunrise Crew showcase Lightning Ridge," Walgett Shire Council's Senior Visitor Information Centre Officer Alana Douglas said.
