Man airlifted to hospital after fallen tree in Dunedoo

A man was flown to hospital in Newcastle after he was injured by a fallen tree in Dunedoo yesterday.

The man's partner called emergency services to bushland on a property on the Castlereagh Highway that morning.

NSW Ambulance confirmed two ambulance crews arrived along with a single responder paramedic and treated the man in his 30s for multiple injuries.

"Around 10am, on Sunday 18 August, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter (WRH) was tasked by NSW Ambulance to assist a man who was injured by a fallen tree," a WRH spokesperson said.

The paramedics and the helicopter's critical care team treated the man before he was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle.

The Hunter New England Local Health District confirm he is in a stable condition.
