A motorcyle rider has died in hospital after colliding with a SUV in Coonamble yesterday.
About 5.50pm on Saturday 14 June 2025, emergency services were called to the intersection of Hickey and Limerick Street in Coonamble, following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District arrived to find a trail bike had collided with a Toyota SUV.
The rider – a 20-year-old man – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for serious head and arm injuries before being taken to Coonamble Hospital in a serious condition.
Police have since been told the rider died in hospital.
The driver – a 25-year-old woman – was uninjured and taken to the same hospital for mandatory testing.

Both vehicles have been seized for forensic examination, a crime scene was established, and police have commenced an investigation into the incident.
