Narromine running hot, Trangie plays opener on SaturdayTrangie get set for their season starter this Saturday.

The Narromine Gorillas Rugby Union side is having a time of it in the New Holland Cup winning both its matches and sharing the competition lead with the Parkes Boars.


The first grade racking up a 69 nil win over CSU Mitchell Bathurst in soggy weather.



Justin Bennet, Euan Truscot and Dan Lethbridge rated best on ground for the Gorillas.


In Second Grade success for the home side dominating 39-7 scoring 6 tries to 1.


Nic Lyn scoring twice with Jacob Mc Naught and Benny Peters also contributing.


The Gorillas showed they love community raising money with a jersey Calcutta at the Clubhouse Hotel of just under $18000.


Cash raised is helping families at The Ronald McDonald House Charity.


 

Narromine head to Dubbo Saturday and will be favoured to keep their unbeaten record intact against the Rhinos in first grade.


The Rhinos are fifth placed after losing to Mudgee 32-30 last week Narromine easily accounted for the Mudgee Wombats in their season opener.


Trangie begin season 2025 against Coolah in the Oils Plus North rugby competition in a highly competitive line up of teams.


Teams from Wellington, Yeoval, Blayney, Canowindra, Geurie all have strong sides.
