The Nyngan Multi-Purpose centre has a happy step in its stride this week with two new registered nurses joining the nursing team, a major step forward for the hospital and its patients and community.

With both Western NSW Local Health District and Nyngan Multi-Purpose Service Working Party continuously working toward gaining new staff, the new additions will lead to more residential and acute care beds opening up, as a suitable staff level has now been obtained.

Add to that, months of work by Western NSW Local Health District and their “Grow Your Own” strategy, the hospital also has three local trainees nearing completion of their studies who have been offered permanent positions at the hospital.

Western Local Health District announced its delight in the outcome for Nyngan Hospital and to welcome the new nurses to the area.

“A warm welcome to Jyakumar and Afroza to the Nyngan Team, bringing their expertise and dedication to the Nyngan community.”

“We would like to thank our hardworking agency nurse recruitment team who have been instrumental in securing high-quality agency Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses, ensuring seamless coverage on the clinical roster. We appreciate their dedication and commitment.”

“We are thrilled to hear this news,” said Bogan Shire Mayor Glen Neill. “As a Shire and Community, we have been working very hard to make this a reality and wish to thank Western Local Health district for their hard work in assisting our Shire.”

“Providing adequate health care to our residents is one of our top priorities and by working together we are one step closer to our desired outcome and the best of health facilities for our area,” said Mayor Neill.
