NSW Police have advised that a woman who became lost when her car was bogged in a remote area of the western plains, has been found in the Cobar region around 36 hours after she called for help.
The 58-year-old woman called Triple Zero (000) at about 9.30pm on Thursday (24 November 2022), to report her vehicle was bogged and she didn’t know where she was.
Police were unable to verify her position as her phone ran out of battery a short time later.
Officers from Central West Police District initiated an extensive search assisted by SES, RFS and a fixed-wing aircraft, as well as making a public appeal for assistance. [Police appeal for help to find stranded motorist]

Following information provided on Saturday morning, a PolAir crew located the woman on a remote property near Bobadah, about 170km south-west of Cobar.
The property owner assisted the woman to their home where PolAir landed.
She was airlifted to Parkes Hospital, where she was checked as a precaution.
