Search underway for man missing near Walgett

Authorities are appealing for assistance to help find a man missing near Walgett.


Police and State Emergency Service members will be conducting a land search for a man reported missing in the state’s Central North.


Taylar Noonan, aged 40, was last seen near Pagan Creek on the Castlereagh Highway, 5 kilometres north of Walgett, about 9.30pm on Saturday 26 August 2023.


When he was unable to be located, officers attached to Central North Police District were notified late yesterday afternoon (Sunday 27 August 2023).

Police have concerns for Taylar’s welfare as he lives with a medical condition that requires medication.


Taylar is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175cm tall, of solid build, with a shaved head, and brown eyes.


He was last seen wearing a grey jumper, black pants, and black shoes.


The multi-agency search for Taylar will be conducted today (Monday 28 August 2023) in the vicinity of Pagan Creek.
