Two men charged following police pursuit near Condobolin

Two men have been charged following an alleged pursuit near Condobolin involving three cars stolen from separate locations in western NSW on 21 January.

Police claim the 18- and 22-year-old men stole three vehicles from Euabalong, Narrandera, and Barellan.

The first report of a stolen utility vehicle from Mulga Street in Barellan was made on Monday 20 January around 11:30 pm.

The following day, there were further reports of a stolen SUV from Dalgetty Street in Narrandera and a sedan stolen from premises on Lachlan Street in Euabalong, about 30 kilometres north of Lake Cargelligo.

Officers on patrol noticed all three vehicles along Kiacatto Road between Euabalong and Condobolin around 2:15 pm on 21 January and initiated a pursuit along the Lachlan Valley Way.

The pursuit ended a short time later when police stopped the utility vehicle on Craft Crescent in Condobolin and arrested the two men.

Following further inquiries, police located the sedan abandoned on Kiacatoo Road, Condobolin around 4.30pm.

Both vehicles were seized to be forensically examined.

Police are still working to identify the location of the third vehicle, a white Mazda CX5 SUV with the registration number EAP33E, and urge any members of the public with information or dashcam footage to come forward.

The 22-year-old was charged with being carried in conveyance without consent of the owner and larceny.

He was granted bail and will appear before the Condobolin Local Court on 4 February.

The 18-year-old was charged with two counts of taking and driving conveyance without consent of owners and driving a vehicle on the road without ever carrying a license.

The younger man was refused bail and is scheduled to appear before the Parkes Local Court on 22 January.
