A man has appeared in court after he was charged with traffic, fraud and domestic violence-related offences earlier this week.
About 10am on Tuesday 12 December 2023, police were patrolling Baradine Road, Coonabarabran, when they attempted to stop a Ford Falcon, to speak with the driver.
When it failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated. A short time later it was terminated due to safety concerns.
Soon after, Police located the vehicle after it left the road and hit a dirt mound on Black Pines Road, Bugaldie.
The two passengers had exited the vehicle and the driver fled into bushland. No one was injured.
Police received reports that a quad bike had been stolen from a property on Baradine Road, Baradine at about 1pm.
Following inquiries, police attended a home on Masman Street, Baradine at around about 10.10pm, where they arrested a 27-year-old man.
He was taken to Coonabarabran Police Station and charged with:
Police also alleged in court the man failed to pay at a service station in Coonamble on Monday 11 December 2023, and was involved in a domestic incident with a woman known to him on Tuesday 12 December 2023.
The man was refused bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court on Wednesday 13 December 2023.
