More arrests for machinery theft

Two more people have been arrested for large-scale theft across regional NSW, following the arrests of four people earlier this month.

Investigations have been ongoing since October 2023, following several reports of large-scale theft of heavy machinery, plants, prime movers, and other equipment across the state.

Following further inquiries, about 1.40pm on Wednesday 28 February, investigators attended a Condobolin home and arrested a man and a woman.

They were both taken to Parkes Police Station.

The 30-year-old man was charged with enter building land with intent to commit indictable offence, enter enclosed land without lawful excuse, take and drive conveyance without consent of owner, four counts of larceny value, two counts of drive motor vehicle during disqualification period, and two counts of destroy or damage property.

The 30-year-old woman was charged with aggravated break and enter dwelling in company steal.

Two outstanding warrants were also executed for assault and domestic violence-related offences.

Both were refused bail to appear at Orange Local Court on Thursday 29 February.

Two men and two women have been charged and remain before the courts from earlier investigations.
