An operation based around keeping domestic and family violence victims safe saw a Coonamble home searched last week and weapons found.
At around 1.30pm on Thursday 14 August, officers attached to Orana Mid Western Police District conducted a firearm and weapons prohibition compliance search at a home in Herrmann Street, Coonamble.
Police forced entry and conducted a search where they located a .22 calibre Baikal rifle inside a bag in a cupboard.
The firearm was seized and inquiries continue.

The search was conducted as part of Operation Amarok XI which ran from Wednesday 13 Augut to Saturday 16 August.
Operation Amarok is a statewide, intelligence-led, offender-focused operation that aims to ensure the safety and wellbeing of domestic and family violence victims and the broader NSW community.
