Fun is coming to Coonamble with the Comedy Outback ShowRyan Gallagher, Mike Goldman, Fiona McGary, Rob Brown and Chris Wainhouse have made a 'good laugh guarantee' for audiences in Coonamble tomorrow night.

FIVE of Australia's best comedians are heading to the Coonamble Bowling Club for one night only on Friday 28 October for the Comedy Outback Show.

Ryan Gallagher (Married at First Sight) and Mike Goldman (Big Brother) are teaming up with hilarious comedic trio Fiona McGary, Rob Brown and Chris Wainhouse to bring Coonamble a night full of laughter and fun.

Mike Goldman, Australian actor, television and radio host is well- known for his work in Australian television series Big Brother, AND will be the Master of Ceremonies for the side-splitting night.

"I am very excited to be coming to Coonamble. I can't wait to get to know everyone in the community and bring you guys a great show," Mike said.

"I am going to make sure I get the whole crowd involved. I will be talking about some crazy topics, playing some hilarious games and just getting to know everyone,” he said.

“I am very excited, it will be great fun and a cool opportunity for us comedians to get on the road and put on a rocking show!"

Rob Brown will also be providing the community with some comedic gold and says he wants to see as many people at the comedy show as possible.

"The Coonamble community do not want to miss this show! We are making sure to put on the best two- hour's of stand- up comedy possible,” he said.

"There will be something for everyone. We will make sure the crowd will leave laughing in stitches.”

Rob says that the comedy show will be "a breath of fresh air" for those that have struggled over the past several years with drought, COVID-19, mice and floods.

"They say laughter is the best medicine - and they could not be more right,” he said.

“As comedians, we know that the last few years have been rough for everyone in this country, but especially for those in small country towns.”

"The last four years have been very testing! The Outback Comedy show will be great for the community to have a good laugh. The standard and quality of the Outback Comedy Show will be the same as any major city comedy venue".

"It is going to be an amazing show and what else is the community going to be doing on a Friday night?”

“Friday night footy is over and there is no decent cricket on the television, so I want everyone to come on down and have a great laugh," Rob said.

The show is part of a multi-event series planned at the height of the drought, with the first event held at Armatree in August 2019.

After a series of setbacks and delays courtesy of COVID and recent floods, it is now Coonamble’s turn to host.

Therese Ryan, Coonamble Landcare Co-ordinator, said the Comedy Outback Show is a feel good event for the entire community.

"The comedians are coming from all over Australia including Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney to put on a great show. They are the best of the best," Therese said.

"It is a great opportunity to get friends and family together, and just give people a good laugh".

"Especially during the current trying times, with COVID-19 and now the rain. It will be a great time to support each other, get together and have a great, light- hearted time with the people we care about the most," she said.

Coonamble Landcare have organised a special deal to encourage the whole community to purchase tickets to the highly- anticipated event.

"We currently are offering a 'buy- one, get one free' deal for Coonamble residents,” Mrs Ryan said.

“Tickets are only $30, with food and endless entertainment included.”

Tickets are also available at the door.

"If people cannot make the Friday night show at the Coonamble Bowling Club, we are also doing a second show at Tooraweenah at the Community Hall," Therese said.
